T-SHIRTS WITH ORIGINAL KISS LOGO FORBIDDEN IN GERMANY?
A German Forum user from Bayreuth in the Kiss Forum has posted, that she bought a T-shirt with the original Kiss logo on it, but was not sure, if she was allowed to wear it in public, so she asked the police.

Next day the criminal police came to her and whitnessed her about that particular T-shirt and they also took several photos of the shirt.

She told them, that she is a Kiss fan and that's why she bought the T-shirt, and not to show some Nazi-signs. The officials also understood that. She told the officials, that it should also be illegal to show documentations with Hitler signs, if the logo is illegal. But she got the answer, that this was something else. And she was also told, that she could not excuse herself with the fact, that those are not the Orginal Hitler SS Logos, because the indications confound are so similar.

The shop however should not have sold it. Therefore they also drove to the store to confiscate the remaining shirts, so that they could not be sold any longer.  The case then went to the public prosecutor's office.

She could keep the shirt, but was told, that she is not allowed to wear it in public.

In the German penal code it is regulated by the paragraph 86a .

PAUL STANLEY SOLO ALBUM
(From Bravewords)
According to a source from Universal Music, KISS frontman PAUL STANLEY's new solo album, Live To Win, will hit the streets on October 3rd, however that date is expected to change.

As previously reported, track titles revealed that will feature on the album include: 'Where Angels Dare', 'Bulletproof', 'Second To None', 'Wake Up Screaming', 'Lovin' You Without You Now' and 'Live To Win'.

In regards to Live To Win, which has been in the making for some time, in 2004 Paul told the Official Authorized KISS Magazine: “There’s great playing on the album: there’s strings everything is big and powerful, it’s almost epic. The songs have almost a cinematic quality.” Strings have been arranged David Campbell (the father of BECK), known to KISS fans from the KISS Symphony show of course, while Paul co-wrote songs with people like Desmond Child and Andreas Carlsson.

KISS ON JAPANESE TV
(from NHK)
Speaking of smoking guitar: what better example than KISS! This rock band took the '70s by storm.
The wild circus make-up and costumes, and the flamboyant performances, influenced pop culture everywhere.
This Japan-loving band will perform their first outdoor concert here in July.
Who's interviewing Kiss in LA?
Japanese actress Tamura Eriko, who's now based in the US.

KissonNHK2006.jpg (6947 Byte)
Tamura Eriko (TE): Where did this full make-up and this costume idea come from?
Paul Stanley (PS): Some people when they first saw it, they looked at it and went, "Ah, kabuki," you know?
TE: With this white make-up....
PS: Yes. But for us, it is part of our personalities. We try to take what is inside us and put it outside so that people can tell who we are. That's why we all look different. Many people all around the world will agree you can't always look like KISS but in your heart, you feel like KISS. So we are you.
Gene Simmons (GS): This is not fashion. This is not style. This is who we are.

In the '80s KISS decided to ditch that trademark make-up and perform just the way they were.
TE: There are times where you performed without make-up.
PS: Yes. Let's take the make-up off and we will become KISS without make-up and if people don't like our music, we do not deserve to survive because it's about the heart. So let's see if the spirit and the heart and the passion are big enough because this is only second.
TE: That sounds like a risk.
PS: Yes, and we saw that we sold many albums, people came to the shows and then at some point we said, "Now we are worthy of putting it back on."

Back in make-up, and weathering some major changes, KISS has played and recorded for 30 years.
Paul and Gene are now in their 50s, but their passion for performance hasn't changed.
TE: Did you know that your band KISS was going to last all these years?
PS: When we first started, we hoped - I hoped, five years.
TE: Really?
PS: Yes, because then, no band had lasted more than five, six, seven years. What we saw was that as time went on, rock and roll was the music of freedom and singing about life. Life never ends until you die. So we can sing rock and roll forever. And KISS can be the music of the people. We want to sing about what people feel. So there's no reason for it to end.
KISS keeps on rocking.
Japanese fans, get ready!

NEW VINNIE VINCENT GUITAR COMING SOON
(from www.Blabbermouth.net)
Ed Roman Guitars has announced plans to offer the official Vinnie Vincent (ex-KISS) licensed model guitar. A photo of the guitar, which
was designed by Vinnie Vincent.
VinnieVincentGuitar2006.jpg (16861 Byte)
Ed Roman Guitars founder Ed Roman commented: "I first met Vinnie Vincent back in the '70s when he was playing with Felix Cavaliere of the RASCALS. This was long before he got the KISS gig. As I recall, I sold him a 1957 Strat for $400.00. Now you might think that was cheap!!!! Frankly, I was really glad to see it go. Today, of course, it's a very valuable guitar. But I wouldn't pay $400.00 for it today if
I wasn't going to sell it."
