ESP IN AUSTRALIA

ESP played "The Marquee" here in Sydney last Friday night (21st April). Songs were played from Kiss, Union, Motley Crue, Bruce's solo stuff and other bands that have influenced them over the years. Kiss songs played
included Watchin' You, Unholy, The Jungle, War Machine, Domino, Nothing to Lose and Black Diamond. A signing/photo session by the band ended the evening. I've attached some photos for you. A brilliant night!

THE KISS ARMY WANTS A NEW ALBUM!
(from Chris Edwards)
I know a lot of us want a new album, but what are we doing about it?

I say let's fucking act like an army for once, and start spamming the living hell out of KOL, GeneSimmons.com, everywhere, with a simple message.

'NEW KISS ALBUM NOW'

If we can get enough people to start doing this, maybe it'll change G&P's mind about a new album. And if not, atleast we tried.

I'm not worried about the lineup that records the album. If its Ace and Peter, that's great. If its Tommy and Eric, that's fine too. Atleast then the Tommy bashers will have something more solid to complain about (not that wearing Ace's makeup/costume isn't, but that's not the point right now).

I'm completely seriously about this, and I've already sent my 2nd e-mail to Gene with the message.

So if you want a new KISS album let's do this.

Who's with me???

GENE SIMMONS LOOKING FOR KISS COLA
Gene Simmons is looking for the French Kiss Cola bottle, which Coca Cola in France sent out to some people in the media for promotional purposes in limited quantity (approx. 500 pieces). The bottle is one of the most saught after Kiss collectibles and sold on eBay already for about US $ 800,-.

Kiss-Fan Patrick Viguier from France, who owns a Kiss Cola bottle, has been contacted by a person representing Gene Simmons already some time ago. It was brought to his attention, that Gene Simmons is looking for this bottle and that he would like to trade a signed copy of his biography "Kiss and make-up" against the bottle. "I already have the book" was Patrick Viguiers answer and suggested Gene to visit him at home in his Kiss museum in France, where he would give him the bottle as a gift.

KissCola.jpg (9286 Byte)Gene wants it really bad: the Coca Cola Kiss bottle Genelive2005.jpg (13801 Byte)His money is not wanted: Gene Simmons

But Gene's time schedule doesn't allow him to fly to France, so he gives it another try. In another letter, Patrick is asked to reconsider his decission and that Gene is even willing to give him money for the bottle. Patrick Viguier just needs to tell the price.

The answer from longtime Kiss-Fan Patrick Viguier must be a shock for Gene Simmons: his money is not wanted! "I don't care about money" says Patrick in his answer. "I am not asking for something impossible. I am a longtime Kiss-fan and once in my life I would like to meet my hero!" he says.

If Gene Simmons will understand? You can check out Patricks museum and the Kiss Cola bottle on Patricks Website.

VH-1 HONORS KISS
(from ABCNews.go.com)
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame looks to be getting some competition.

VH1 announced Thursday that it will debut the "VH1 Rock Honors" next month to pay homage to the gods of hard rock. The inaugural honorees are KISS, Queen, Def Leppard and Judas Priest.

The ceremony, to take place May 25 in Las Vegas, will pay tribute to hard-rock legends much like the Rock Hall of Fame does, with "spoken tributes, filmed packages and performances by some of today's hottest rock acts as well as the legends themselves."

VH1 has aired the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremonies the past few years.

"VH1 Rock Honors" will air May 31. It's not the first genre to get the tribute treatment from the network; last week VH1 announced plans for its third annual "Hip-Hop Honors," which will air in October.

KISS THIS
(from celebritycellars.com)
"KISS THIS" commemorates over 30 years of the greatest rock 'n' roll band. The artwork is from KISS's 4th studio album, Destroyer, that was released in 1976.

This Limited Edition Release features a combination etched/paper label on a bottle of 2004 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This product has hand-painted and etched elements surrounding a die cut high quality adhesive applied image.

The bouquet of this wine offers subtle notes of cassis, black cherry, currants and chocolate. Very dark ruby-purple in color, it is a richly textured wine with ripe flavors of sweet cherry, plum and cassis. Slight earthy notes of tobacco, coffee and cedar combine with firm tannins and a subtle framework of oak to complete this delicious wine. Though enjoyable at present, this classic wine has the structure and intensity to improve with aging.

Only 1000 limited edition bottles are available, so place your order today. $100 per bottle.

All Celebrity Cellars products come with a written Certificate of Authenticity.

NEW KISS FIGURES
(from www.sideshowtoy.com)
"KISSTERIA" SWEEPS THE COLLECTIBLES INDUSTRY AS SIDESHOW PREMIERES ITS PREMIUM FORMAT FIGURES

Rock's Grandest Ghouls Set to Conquer A Smaller Stage

Thousand Oaks, CA Mar. 17, 2006 - One of the most prolific and popular touring bands in the history of rock music, KISS, has agreed to conquer a smaller stage—the figure collectibles market. In a landmark licensing agreement with Signatures Network, KISS's exclusive licensing agency, rock's grandest ghouls will be rendered as premium format sculptures by Sideshow Collectibles, of Thousand Oaks, CA. Sideshow, the world's premier manufacturer of licensed and proprietary figure collectibles and prop replicas, will release 1:4 scale recreations of all four KISS musicians-in full makeup and stage regalia.

With stage personas like "The Demon," "The Starchild," "The Catman," and "The Spaceman," KISS has stormed the planet and rocked arenas for more than three decades. Since their inception in 1974, KISS has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide. KISSteria has spawned a series of KISS-specific conventions, a comic book series, a feature film and a Movie of the Week. No longer relegated to heavy metal subculture, KISS has gone mainstream; they performed at the halftime show for Super Bowl XXXIII, at the 2002 Winter Olympics, and with the 70-piece Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.

But KISS is best known for thirty years of sold-out arena performances; rock 'n roll theatrical extravaganzas that pioneered a host of now-standard pyrotechnics, strobe and laser effects and-always-costume flourishes. Those savage-looking, goth-o-ramic stage personas have been meticulously recreated by Sideshow's artistic team. Sculptor Pablo Viggiano, working with clothing fabricators Greg Mowry and Gidget Earle, has created the definitive 1:4 scale reproduction of each band member. Sideshow's Premium Format sculptures stand approximately 18 inches tall, and utilize a variety of components, including polystone, metal, and fabrics to achieve an astonishing likeness.

Sideshow's Creative Director, Tom Gilliland, anticipates limited editions for each Premium Format KISS figure, with an MSRP of $249.99. The KISS line will begin shipping with "The Spaceman" figure in fourth quarter, 2006. A new figure will be shipped every other month thereafter, until all four band members have regrouped in your collection. Sideshow is the premier source for highly collectible figures, statues, busts, framed art, prop replicas and figure-study maquettes. Sideshow products are available online at: www.sideshowcollectibles.com, as well as through specialty shops, comic book stores, and via collectible web sites worldwide.
